Kyle & District Rodeo

  
Located 3rd St west, Kyle. The Kyle & District Rodeo was originally started by Rec. Director Gary Blanchette in 1977. It has been run in conjunction with reunions, as well as the Sask. 75th birthday in 1981, and the rodeo’s own 25th anniversary and homecoming in 2001.  They also run a slo-pitch tournament during the rodeo. This function has, for 31 years, been a major fundraiser for the Kyle & District Recreation Board. It is known as “Biggest Little Rodeo in Saskatchewan”.  Proceeds made from the Rodeo has allowed the Rec. Board to make upgrades to the Kyle Sports & Rodeo grounds, such as permanent rodeo facilities, new food booth, new washrooms, bleachers for rodeo grounds, and a chariot/chuck wagon track.

  Walleye Tournament

The 18th Annual Walleye Tournament will be in July this summer at the Sask. Landing. There is a boat parade through the town of Kyle before the tournament begins. The Walleye Tournament is supported locally by the Kyle Recreation Board and the Kyle Elks, as well as by other organizations.

The annual Walleye tournament is one of the top in the country.

Kyle Multiple 4-H Achievement Day
The Kyle Multiple 4-H Club held their annual Acheivement Day at the Kyle Sports Ground on Sunday June 8th  9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Annual Christmas Extravaganza
 

The Annual Christmas Extravaganza was held in the Kyle Elks & Community Hall on Tuesday, November 9th, 2010.

  Communities In Bloom  
  In 2009 Kyle and District joined Communities in Bloom and with lots of enthusiastic volunteers and community pride. The judges at the end awarded us 3 out of 5 Blooms and very positive comments ending with "Kyle, a pleasure to Visit".
